RETIRED STATE EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION Privacy Policy The Retired State Employees Association (RSEA) has adopted policies that demonstrate our organization’s commitment to respect the privacy of our members and other website users. RSEA strongly believes that all information provided via electronic commerce and online activities must be used responsibly and appropriately. To protect online privacy, the following policy has been implemented. Please read this entire Privacy Policy before using RSEA’s website or submitting information to RSEA. By using the RSEA website, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you have questions or complaints regarding our Privacy Policy or practices, please use the contact information on our website. If you do not agree with our policies, your choice is to not use the RSEA website or provide RSEA with your information. COLLECTED INFORMATION The RSEA only collects personal information that users voluntarily provide to the RSEA. This information includes but is not limited to: member name, address, phone number, email, and last 4 digits of social security number. If users want to utilize the member sign-in on our website, we also collect their username and password. If members choose to pay their annual dues via credit or debit card, information necessary to process the payment is collected (see Disclosure to Third Parties below). Additionally, emails in HTML format, including electronic newsletters and notices, are sent to our members through our Member Clicks listserve. For website visitors who do not use the website’s log-in features, please see the Member Clicks Privacy Policy about the aggregate data collection and usage to improve users’ experience when visiting the website. USING, SHARING, AND DISCLOSING INFORMATION RSEA uses information voluntarily submitted by members in the following ways: RSEA MEMBER SERVICES provided through MEMBER CLICKS: RSEA collects and uses information to: build the membership database; to improve its own web content; to respond to members’ interests, needs and preferences; to develop new services; and to otherwise provide you with information that RSEA believes may be of interest to you. Disclosures to Third Parties: We reserve the right to share information with trusted third-party vendors or governmental entities that provide services for RSEA and its membership. RSEA MEMBERSHIP Payment Services: RSEA utilizes the services of INB BANK, FISERV, and Clover Financial Services to process annual or recurring dues payments made by members via credit/debit card/ACH. RSEA maintains the physical documents necessary to make these payments and destroys them according to policies provided by governmental regulations and our third party vendor policies. Privacy policies for our third-party financial vendors are included in the addendum to this document. RSEA will not sell, share, or rent the information to other parties other than to use the information to help us better serve our members. RSEA makes membership information available to its leadership positions on a need to know basis. These leadership positions will require special access and additional secure login credentials for viewing the data. Notwithstanding the foregoing, RSEA may disclose your personal information as required by law or as needed in legal proceedings when RSEA believes in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request. SECURITY MEASURES When you submit information to RSEA through our website, you should be aware that your information is transmitted across the Internet and that no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. Although we take reasonable security measures to protect your information when we receive it, you also need to ensure you take appropriate steps to protect your information.
